Douglas Sherman brings a background in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering and Computer Network administration to help SEMgroup manage Event technology services for a wide range of clients. Working closely with the logistics team, Douglas provides analysis and procurement of audiovisual equipment, the coordination and management of technical staff associated with the event venue, and critical post-conference assessments often used to enhance future events.

A skilled problem analyst, Douglas manages and troubleshoots the backend components of the SEMgroup online registration system. Additionally, Douglas helps clients apply new technology solutions to their events, including Web 2.0, podcasting, web streaming, teleconferencing, digital recording, conference messaging, and more.

With a career long focus on technology and electronics, Doug has worked with AT&T, Hewlett Packard, NX Digital Solutions; and as a distributor of customized electronics through e-commerce portals; and keenly follows new web programming methods and emerging technologies in mobile computing.

Douglas studied Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at the University of Ottawa and is completing his certification in Network Engineering.
