Denise Siele is a Founding Director and Principal of The SEMgroup. An accomplished alumnus of the prestigious Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs and Policy Management at Carleton University, Denise channels years of experience in the business events industry, to deliver premium outcomes in strategic communications, event design and planning, business development and media relations. She oversees all SEMgroup projects and supervises the staffing and operation functions of the firm.

Denise’s expertise in all aspects of substantive event planning, logistics and execution has brought about stellar results for a diverse range of government and non-government clients including the United Nations Association in Canada, the Canadian Union of Public Employees, the University of Ottawa, the Council of Canadians, the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, the City of Ottawa, CHIN Radio, the Catholic Immigration Centre and the Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest. These and other former clients help form her solid reputation for professional work ethic, keen insight and other tangible and intangible added value she brings to event management.

A certified member of Festivals and Events Ontario, Denise regularly contributes to community and is currently Co-President of the annual Ottawa Gala which provides the largest private donor funds to the Ottawa School Breakfast Program administered by the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation (OCRI). She has worked with the United Way, and also serves on the Board of Directors of the Congress of Entrepreneurs and Professionals Ottawa.
